Donate To Betsy's Second Chance Fund
PARL's surrender rate is up 35% above the peak in 2007. Why? Foreclosures, increasing food and gas costs, and an inability to keep up with basic veterinary care. Fortunately, through much hard work, we have increased adoptions by 40%. Here's a YouTube link to a news story that ran on WPRI Channel 12 featuring PARL.
PARL has also seen a striking increase in the number of surrendered animals that require critical medical care that the previous pet owners just can't afford. In response, we launched Betsy’s Second Chance Fund. This new fund provides medical care and surgery, including spay/neuter, to adoptable animals. This may include medications, surgery, and treatment that would otherwise be outside of the scope of regular medical care provided in an animal shelter. This fund will also support the general operation of the Animal Welfare and Veterinary Departments. Please consider donating to Betsy's Second Chance Fund to help us continue to find both treatment and homes for our many adoptable animals. CLICK HERE TO DONATE!
