The Providence Animal Rescue League receives The 2012 WBRU $20,000 Service Partnership Award
Every year, 95.5 WBRU awards one public service or community group $20,000 in in-kind media support. The community minded members of the WBRU staff judges the entries and selects one very worthy group to be their partner for the whole year.
We are proud to announce that the 2012 winner is the Providence Animal Rescue League! We will receive invaluable support from WBRU in the form of emails, web exposure, event support and recorded public service announcement spots totaling $20,000 in value. The opportunity to reach the WBRU listeners will widen the scope of our reach in the community and allow us to promote PARL’s programs and services.
How will PARL use the $20,000 in-kind media support award?
“With the guidance of the staff at WBRU, we will maximize this opportunity to its fullest. We plan to get the word out about the critical work that we offer our community. We will promote awareness about spay and neuter initiatives and highlight the many fundraising events that we host that help us sustain the programs and services that we offer. I’d like to sincerely thank WBRU for this amazing opportunity. This is going to be a great year.” Says Carmine DiCenso, Executive Director.
Our work to help improve the lives of animals in Rhode Island would not be possible without the collaborative efforts and generous support of community partners such as WBRU. We encourage you to tune into 95.5 WBRU or to visit them at WBRU.COM.
