Please note: We have a small team and sometimes are unexpectedly short-handed during a regularly open day. In order to prioritize animal care and cleaning, we will generally close for walk-in visitors, and do our best to accommodate serious adopters and standing appointments. Please check our social media accounts for timely notices of last-minute schedule changes. As we all navigate this winter season and the abundance of upper-respiratory illnesses circulating in our community, we thank you for your understanding on these days.

Need to Surrender Your Pet?
PARL is an open adoption shelter that manages intake, meaning we accept surrenders by appointment to make sure we have the proper resources and space to help your pet. Sometimes, especially during Covid-19, our facility is full to our current capacity for care. In these cases, we may use a Wait List or refer you to other organizations and agencies that may be able to help. We are also ready to assist you with pet retention resources and assistance programs like our Pet Food Pantry, affordable spay/neuter services, and routine vaccine clinics.
